Redstone Federal Credit Union is a great long-time client. Most financial institutions can be a little stuffy, but they are always up for doing things that are a bit more fun (including our very most favorite campaign for them ever).
This campaign for their "Refer-a-Friend" program features a sports theme, and plays off the "Ref" who is "Referring." We created a "halftime report" type of concept to get the point across.
Redstone was in a big hurry to get this on the air, so with no time to build a real set we shot our "sports anchor" actors on greenscreen in our studio, then inserted them into a virtual set.
Great talent always helps to sell a spot like this, so we bought in Christopher Martin from Atlanta and Bree Molitor from Murfreesboro as our sportscasters. In a challenging dual role Atlanta's Rob Farrell filled the part of the referee a couple of days later at a local football stadium. To maximize flexibility, Chris and Bree were actually shot separately so we could mix-n-match their best takes, then put them together during post production. Ari Ross performed the opening narration.
As always, thanks to Stephanie and Barry at Redstone for making things happen smoothly.
And now our wardrobe room contains two referee uniforms. Score!
