I scream, you scream, we all scream for...
Here's a little bit of behind-the-scenes fun.

A client tasked us with creating a television commercial with an ice cream theme. So, we needed ice cream. Lots and lots of ice cream in all kinds of flavors.

Usually, needing a ton of ice cream just means a trip to the grocery store. But on a film shoot, that means ice cream that will look great on set for several hours — with no melting!

Our art director Kim Brown switched into high gear for this project creating tons of the fake dessert in all kinds of flavors.

We think it looks pretty darn real.

In the "olden days" on movie sets mashed potatoes were often used as a substitute. We tried that, but it just didn't look realistic. Well, it did look realistic, but sadly it looked like real potatoes, not ice cream. Fortunately Kim is not just a great art director, but knows all kinds of "food tricks" and came up with this concoction that looked right even in extreme closeups... with fake strawberry, butter pecan, even pistachio.

What's her secret recipe? She'll never tell, but you sure wouldn't want to eat it.
